Hi I am researching the Hayes family. I have got as far back as Theophilus Hayes bc1826 in Leeds, I have not as yet got any birth/baptism records for him so I do not know his parents' names. He married Elizabeth Heaton (bc1825) on 26/8/1848 at St Mark's church, Woodhouse, Leeds. They had a son Joseph Milsom (Milson) Hayes in 1849 Leeds. Elizabeth died in 1866 (aged 41 or 44 head stone and records differ!). Theophilus married Mary Ann Naylor (bc1824 Leeds) in 1868. They moved to Keighley. Joseph married Sarah E Stockdale (I think was her maiden name) and they had the following children all in Keighley: Elizabeth bc1874, twins John (known as Jack) and Theophilus bc1876, Fred bc1878, William (Willie) bc1880, Annie bc1882, Edith bc1885, Berda (Bertha) bc1889 and Beattie bc1890. John married Ann Elizabeth Brook and they had Fred 1906. He was my grandfather.
