Help!
My great grandfather was born in the Union Workhouse, Sudbury (which is now Walnuttree Hospital). Would there be any workhouse records kept anywhere? Would I go to Suffolk or Essex Records Office cos Sudbury is on the border of the two?

Many thanks. I'd be grateful for any help!

Welcome Bikerchick :)

Sadly, very few records survive for Sudbury Workhouse, but what remains is kept at Bury St Edmonds Record Office.
