1841 census help needed - new info
« on: Thursday 02 February 06 22:51 GMT (UK) »
Looking for the following family in the 1841 census.
Joseph Blandford age. abt. 30.
and son Thomas aged 8 years.

Possibly - wife Elizabeth.

Joseph Blandford & Grace Trim were married Feb. 20, 1832 at St. Peters, Shaftesbury.
I believe Grace died between 1833 & 1841.

On June 6 1841 (Census night!)  Joseph re-married Elizabeth Lester in Ramsbury Wilts.
No sign of the family in Wiltshire on the night, did they travel straight back down to Dorset immediately after the wedding?

In the 1851, Joseph is listed as a cordwainer, in St. Peters, Shaftesbury.
Stewart, Moore, Murray, McLure, Beaton, McIntyre, Sinclair, Barr, Burnside, Welsh, Barker, McGibbon, Harrison, Gallacher/Gallagher, Hedley

Oh my!  That has to be young Thomas.  And correctly noted, he wasn't born in the County, he was born in Hampshire.

Thank you so much for spotting that entry!  It gives me brand new information on his TRIM grandparents.

Doing a little happy dance!
