I think I know what I was doing different, I was just searching on BMD rather than looking through the new BETA search where you can view the books  :-[
I don't know why Ann never came up  ??? but as you both said she is in the book  ;)
Now I have to try and find her birth  :o

I wasnt using the Beta version on ancestry I was using freebmd's own site
