I am trying to track my great grandfather, George. This is the entry for the marriage: "George Ettershank Spirit Dealer Anderston & Catherine Higgins residing there. Married at Glasgow the 13th day of November 1848 by the Rev David Mitchell, minister of the Free St Lukes Church Catton Barony Parish." He must have died a few years later after fathering two sons, James (my grandfather) 1850 and George (don't know what happened to him) 1854. Catherine re-married - James Stewart 7/8/1856.
