The Preston family owned Bellinter House for almost two centuries. The Briscoe family bought the property in 1893. They sold the house to William Holdsworth in the 1950s. In 1893 21 workmen were employed on the Bellinter House estate. Their average wage was nine shillings (45p) a week. In 1901 the house was listed as having 22 rooms and 46 outbuildings

William Swan (butler) aged 70 - born 1831
Bridget Geraghty (cook) aged 50 - born 1851
Theresa Mulvany (housemaid) aged 50 - born 1851
Ellen Molloy (kitchen maid) aged 30 - born 1871
Michael Bennett (steward) aged 55 - born 1846
and two grooms.
The gardener, pantry boy and a kennel huntsman lived near the "big house".
In the 1911 census staff in the household included -
Macario Egido (an Italian butler)
and George Pritchard (game keeper).
