So what's the story?
« on: Friday 10 February 06 00:25 GMT (UK) »
I have come across two Mary Henny's in my journey both in the same census, 5pages apart, same district and both born Ireland.

I found a possible Theresa Hurst in the 1861 census. Born 1850 M/c living with a Mary Henny born 1811 Ireland:  District 26, Folio 94, Pg 39

Searching for Mary Hurst, Theresa's mother I found a possible in 1861 living with another Mary Henny born 1797 Ireland cited as the Head. There is a Emma Mary Hurst born 1852 M/c.  Then a Mary Hurst (my possible) born 1822 Ireland cited as daughter and a William Edward Hurst born 1850 (someone I was also searching for) cited as 'son'. District 26 Folio 91 Pg 34

Then in 1871 I find my Mary Hurst born 1823, now in Manchester living with a William Hurst birth year now 1854 born M/C.
Theresa is down as Thomas although the age is placed in the female columns born 1850 M/C.

Are the Mary Hennys sister-in-laws? Mother and daughter-in-law? Mother and daughter? Cousins? Totally unrelated?

Or is this all purely coincidence?

Hi

It is either coincidence as you say or they are common names. This is something that you have to work out, frustrating, I know.
