Garratt McKeon born c1809 in Ireland
« on: Friday 10 February 06 09:49 GMT (UK) »
Hi there,

I wonder if anyone might be able to help me. I am researching my family and I am trying to find the birth details of a Garratt McKeon who came from Ireland. All I know is that he was born between 1808 and 1810 somewhere in Ireland. I would also like to try and trace his marriage but I have no idea of when this might  have taken place.

Does anyone know if there is a way of discovering these details? I would be very grateful for any suggestions or help in this.

Best regards

Jane

Jane,

Where did your ancestors go. did they emigrate, transported convicts etc or did they remain in Ireland ?  If they ended up in Australia perhaps I can direct you.

Hi Pam,

Many thanks for the reply. Sadly you won't be able to help me as Garratt McKeon went from Ireland to England. He was in England certainly in the 1840's and I believe he stayed in England until he died here in 1884.

Thanks again for replying,

Best regards,

Jane
