Royal Green Jackets - info wanted

I was told today that my partners grandfather was in the Royal Green Jackets. I know from his marriage that he was in Palestine in the November of 1943. He was in Cairo in the March qtr of 1945 and in Munster, Germany in the Dec qtr of 1948 when two of children were born. Is there anywhere i can find more info about his military career?
