the death of frederick copus, mate aged 25 born swansea.
unloading at valparasio chile 28th feb 1868. he fell down hatch & was killed. witness George Falkner Smith, 2nd mate, certificate no. 85638
aged 29, born at yarmouth.
he obviously went on to become a captain, so done well for himself, anyway his certificate no. and the yarmouth conection should help, also cadets and officers would normaly stay with the same company so you could find all his voyages if your lucky, cheers, kali.  ps it looks like your delta was owned by henry bath & son swansea, if you type henry bath & son into your search engine you should get a lovely photo of the ship ''delta'' cheers again kali.
