James Greig - Pathhead

I am trying to find my ggg-grandfather James GREIG (b. 1807, agricultural labourer) and Catherine COCK/COOK (b. 1818, dairy maid) who sailed to Australia in 1839.  Also on the boat were John COCK/COOK( b.1811, wheelwright) and Betsy Flockhart (b. 1819,dairy maid).  All 4 were from Pathhead.  My problem is that I do not know which Pathhead in SCT the four orginated from (there are 4 - Fife, Midlothian, Aberdeenshire, Ayr).

Can anyone please give me a clue as to where I could look to find the Pathhead link as I have tried the obvious (certificates, familysearch, ancestry, scotlandspeople) but no luck.

If you contact the Local Studies Centre in Loanhead, they may be able to assist you and hopefully find out if they are from the Pathhead in Midlothian.  I've found them very helpful.
