Still Stuck-more Help,Please!!
« on: Thursday 16 February 06 15:51 GMT (UK) »
I received a birth certificate last week for FRANCIS CHARLES BYRON, born January 1870 ,Bromsgrove st,Birmingham
His parents were :Patti Byron, formerly Hickman,Mother
Charles Byron,Clothiers Salesman,Father.

After lots of help on here + GR I think Patti's real name was Martha.

She was living in Salford in 1881 with Thomas Allchurch Adams.
I cannot find her marriage to either man.Can anybody help, please?

Could the couple in Salford somehow have taken Francis in as a foster son ?
Thomas Allchurch Adams married Martha Shaw in 1870 Dudley.
To find the birth certificate of the daughter Blanche age 3 in 1881 might be helpful in finding out who Martha is.

Hi,thanks for that,I think Thomas married a Mary Lloyd in 1870,I've got him on all the census's from 1851.I don't think he and Martha ever married.
The bit I'm still stuck on is Martha/Patti Hickman and George/Charles Bryan/Byron.
I can't find a marriage under any variation of names :(

But this ones given me enough headaches,I'll probably come back to it !
