Marriage Record Pre: 1800 Kirk Santon

Would someone be able to look for a record of marriage for

James Elliot & Christian Patterson please.

Christians father was John Patterson.

James & Christian were born approx 1780 Scotland but their children were born Santon Isle of Man.

Their first child was born 1801, so marriage was approx 1799/1800.

If they were married on the Isle of Man the entry really should come up on the IGI.  You may need to consider that they didn't marry or that they married in England before coming to the IOM and the parish they married in isn't indexed on the IGI.  It looks like they moved to Lancashire after the IOM (if Frances bp 1812 is theirs).

You could try the Manx genealogy message board (http://www.isle-of-man.com/cgi-bin/interests/genealogy/bulletin/index.pl?noframes) to see if someone can look up the original parish entries for Santan.
