POST COMPLETED - 1851 census: STAINER
« on: Sunday 19 February 06 22:30 GMT (UK) »
Hello all,

I am looking for William STAINER on the 1851 CI census please.

His surname may be recorded as STAYNER as it certainly changed between 1836 when he married and 1861.

I have him at 6 Fosse Andre, St Peter Port, Guernsey in the 1861 census. He is 50 yrs, ag lab,  living with his wife Elizabeth (51) and children Mary Ann (24 yrs dairy maid - who is my gt gt grandmother) and Charles (20yrs ag lab).

Any details greatfully received

Richard

I take it the St P means St Peters Port
