Baptism 1838/1839 Shepshed
« on: Tuesday 21 February 06 14:32 GMT (UK) »
Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have access to any parish records or tell me where can i get the Baptism records for Shepshed after in 1838/1839.

I have a birth cert for my GG Granny and there is no father listed,  :(  so i wondered whether any baptism records may list the father?

The details are I have are:

Charlotte Grimley born 17 Nov 1838 Shepshed, mother Ann Grimley.

By the 1841 Census Ann and daughter Charlotte are living in Ilkeston, Derbyshire so she may have been baptised there?

If anyone has access to any parish records etc i would be very grateful for a lookup.

Cheers!
Lena

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the info, all very interesting!  :)

I think that Ann and William may be a differen't family (or related in some way) but will need to check it out.

Will get in touch with the records office aswell

Thanks again
Lena

Hi Lena and Mike (long time no speak).
The family you mention are my husband's ancestors and and were still living in Shepshed in 1841.(apart from Kitty).
Best of luck

Pauline :)
