Thank you for your reply Sue.

We would be getting a false reading if we took each person as one unit when some people, as in your case will bring a friend, and others will be bringing members of their family.

Are you going to Manchester? If I don't meet you there I look forward to meeting you, all being well, in Ireland.

Best Wishes, Chris

Hello again Chris,
I would be more then happy to make my
own arrangements for the meet in Ireland,
as I live in Co.Cavan.

I'm not unfortunately going to the Manchester meet.
Would have love to, as my Father & Grandmother
were born in Salford.

Must admit I lost track of the "link" for the Manchester meet.   :(

Hi Chris

I will come to meet you all in Dublin, though I would need a date before I could commit fully.

The thing is to pick a date now Chris or at least a month to narrow down the responces. I know the thread title states 2007 but that seems very far away, how about some time in July or August 2006.

July 2006 is a thought Sharon. It might be a great idea to meet in Belfast bang in the middle of the marching season. :D Most of the factories close for the fortnight, everyone flies off to somewhere in the sun for their annual holiday.
We would have the place to ourselves although there would probably be some visitors from overseas. We could watch the Twelfth of July parade and enjoy some of the Blood and Thunder bands like the Pride of the Hill Flute band from Rathfriland http://www.poth.co.uk/about/about.htm :D

Sharon, if you would like a July or August Meet plan one in England, Scotland or Wales. I see little point in bringing a possible Irish meet forward to sometime this year.  Why rush things when, with some good advance planning, there is a possibility of organising a memorable Meet with a record number of people attending ???

Best Wishes, Chris

Hi Jane, thanks for your message.

Probably most people will need a date before committing themselves fully. What are your views in bringing the Meet forward to July/August this year? I feel that leaving the date of the event open for a while and having the Meet next year allows time to get more interest than has been gained in the past two days.

Best Wishes, Chris
