Most other diseases are quite rightly feared if they are heredity,  ???,
but this one poses a paradox, If our ancestors had suffered from it , surley we would have nothing to do as it would have all been done for us , just a thought,  :),

No problems Selina. Keep searching for ancestors and adding them to the family tree. It is very therapeutic :D

Other symptoms noted............the involuntary entering into a time warp.......... one minute it is 8pm next thing it is 2 am!!!!  :o
Another is the 'off at a tangent  & forgetting where you started from syndrome'  ??? ???

I am an addict & doubt there is a cure but at least there is rootchat therapy ;D

Cal,

The cure for forgetting where you started is to get off your seat at your desk where you have your monitor, PC and scanner, stand up straight and touch your toes. Then go to the kitchen to make a fresh cup of coffee or tea. Come back to your seat and sit down. Make sure there is space for your coffee as spilling it on the keyboard is a recipe for disaster.

All the Best,

Chris

Hi Jake,
Your explanation of the disease was excellent. I am a complete addict but sometimes ask myself why.
I recently traced down descendants of a great aunt. A very complicated and 2 year search involving a child born out of marriage, name changes etc, etc. I finally traced a second cousin in Southend on Sea living with her daughter. A phone call was less than helpfull. I wrote with explanation of how we were connected ( stamped addressed envelope) and received the following.

" Thank you for your letter with your family history. I am aware that there is is a trend nowadays for finding out about families-but would say that neither myself or the rest of my family are interested in this, we know all we want to know about our relatives. With respect therefore, I am returning all your information to you."

End of 2 years research. Will I stop certainly not but that is addiction.
                       Regards
                                      Geoff
