Can anyone help

I have traced my Wilding roots back to William Wilding born c 1816 stated as Radnorshire
I have been unable to trace this birth at all in any welsh records
the earliest I have of William is 1841 censuswhen he was living in staffordshire with his wife Elizabeth and children.  (Edwin his son b 1837 is my gt (x3) grandfather.
Would anyone know more?
