marriages before 1837

Does anyone know where i can access records of marriages before 1837?  CheshireBMD doesn't go back that far.

Take a look at the catalogue on the Familysearch site to see if the parish of interest has been filmed by the LDS. If so film/fiche of the register may be ordered at any LDS Family History Center.

I'm looking for Jonathan Frodsham, B. Bunbury 1811 and married Hannah (surname unknown).  I'm hoping it'll help me chase back his parents and so on.

I can only find one Jonathan which is clearly not yours as he was married in 1821 Chester.

However there is a John who married a Hannah Poole on 24 October 1831 at Astbury.

If you can bear with me I will look through the 1841 census Bunbury for you.  It will take a while as there are no name Indexes on 1841 which means looking through page by page.  Some of the Bunbury pages are quite poor, but I will do my best to find him for you.

Wish I had more info to offer you.  I can only tell you that they had their first child, Henry, in 1835 in Buglawton.

Just to let you know that the marriage of John Frodsham and Hannah Poole are the one and same.  I found out yesterday that Hannah's maiden name was Poole, so your information was correct.  I wonder why Jonathan was written as John though.
