Could be Willoughby near Sleaford if you say it with an accent.
Or there is a place called Welby.

Hi - the IGI has a baptism for Joseph Torgoose at Doddington Lincoln, 3 Sept 1787 to Thomas and Eliz.

Whisby is a hamlet of Doddington. A possible?

I had noticed that i did not know abt whisby.

Will need to source the original census entry to see if maybe it has been mistranscribed.

No problem,

good news - I love it when it comes together :)

I only know Whisby as there's a lovely garden centre there with animals and a play park. I've taken my daughter there several times!
