I found a Sarah Green married to Herbert Green on the 1911.  Says Sarah was born c1886 and came to Canada 1905.  They have a daughter Evangline born c1909.  They are living in Toronto, Ontario

Found a birth for

Elroy James Taylor
Date:  January 13, 1906

hI AGAIN
I think I will have to check out a marriage in England between Sarah Coveney and a Herbert Green, although thE Age on the census isn't right, her father died whilst she was in her teens so there is no knowing what happened to her after her mother remarried very quickly.

The Elroy taylor birth is interesting

Richard Coveney died in  May 1908, I wonder if Sarah travelled to Canada with her sister and husband where Adelaide was to have Retta, I need to try to narrow this down as to when she travelled, I do not know where she would have landed so I need to do some research about the ships and their names, more work, ah well it keeps me busy

Thank you once again

The 1911 census was taken in June and Retta Violet died October 8th, so maybe they arrived after the census and that way it would narrow down a search of the passenger lists to June, July, August and Sept.  If it was in those months, then it could be either Nova Scotia or Quebec if they came through Canada.  Quebec was closed in the winter since the St. Lawrence would freeze.  You could check www.ellisisland.org in the event they came in through New York.

Dear Karen
You must have read my mind because I was just thinking if Retta was born in England and we know when and where she died then it narrows it down quite a bit, how lucky is that?.

Sarah would have been about 20 ish so I suppose that is a more realistic age if she were to go to Canada, I suspect they all intended to stay there but as Louis  died in the first world war Adelaide returned home, Sarah I suspect may have either married or fallen in love with someone by then,  this is all supposition on my part

Thank you once again

attestation papers say:
340 king street "west" Toronto...but I can't find such a listing under west?

O.k. just searched again and came up as seven...databases can be so goofy....
Just saw that there is a King street west also, so now I am confused..I figured maybe as 7 wasn't done yet it might be in there...
May have to call in the troups on this one for sure....
