Higginbottom, James Hibbert

Trying to find out parents of James Hibbert Higginbottom.  Know his father was William Higginbottom.  James was married St.Mary's Church, Stockport, Oct 26, 1885.  Wondering if his parents are listed in the Church Register.  I know record states James was from Disley when he got married.

I can find out nothing about William (or his wife), nor can I find a birth certificate for James Hibbert Higginbottom.

James Hibbert eventually emigrated to Canada in 1912 +/-, and died in 1916.  He is my great grandfather, but where he is from or who his parents were is a mystery!

Thanks for any leads/information.

If the parish record is available it may show a father's name and occupation. Otherwise, giving him an age, occupation and names/dates/ places of their kids will help place him in census(es).
