looking for CHARLES BUTLER b. about 1853/1854 in Berkshire England  his parents were John Francis Butler,mother Emma Wiltshire .Charles married Maria SCARBOROUGH in 1877 in Queensland Australia. any info would be greatly appreciated as Charles is my Great grand father thanks Alice of Australia

From what I can see, the only Charles BUTLERs shown in the census, were still in England in 1881.   Do you have any more details regarding where Charles was born, age of parents etc ??

I've found a marriage for an Emma WILTSHIRE with Francis BUTLER on the same page at Wantage in Dec 1854 (Vol 2c 586).   That said, I can't find this combination in either 1861 or 1871 census.
