Richardson's Kirkland

Hello All,

Has any one got any connection or know anything about the Richardson's of Kirkland Near Culgaith Cumberland.
These are the people who came from there

My Gt Gt Gt Grandfather Henry RICHARDSON b 1724
married
Margaret PEARSON B 1725 born Kirkland
They moved to Whitestone, Morland in 1757

his father was
Thomas RICHARDSON b1699
married
Jane WATSON B 1690 born Kirkland

his father was
George RICHARDSON  I have no date of birth or who he was married to or trace of any other children.

If anyone else is researching this family or the others mentioned I would be pleased to hear from them

Checked out the marriages at Kirkland today from 1624 - 1812, for Richardson, there was 27!

Saw your Thomas from Blencarne marriage to Jane Watson from Kirkland dated 14/11/1723.
Saw Thomas's baptism , god there hard to read transcripts absolutley tiny.  All I can say it looked like August 1699.  There was also a William Richardson born March 28th 1708, father George Richardson.

Checked out the Wills, from 1663 - 1756, 7 in total, for the name Richardson at Kirkland.  I will list them incase any link with you.

Flosh Richardson 1740 died 64 years old.
William Richardson (Bond) included, Will No 123
Thomas Richardson 1744, Will No 302
Mary Richardson (Flosh) 1744, Will No 296
Thoams Richardson (Yeoman) 1751, Will No 333
John Richardson (The Elder) Will No 1.

Could not see any marriages for a George Richardson. I went into the Bishops Transcripts from 1624 - 1812. Though I did see  a burial for a George Richardson dated March 9th 1723.

Also saw Your Great Great Great Grandfathers Henry Richardson marriage to Margaret Pearson dated 01/06/1760 at Kirkland.

I did keep a list of most of the Richardson Marriages that I saw, so if you want me to list them let me know.

What can I say - thank you so much - very grateful for your time taken in looking these up.

Interesting that Thomas Richardson was listed as coming from Blencarne when he was married to Jane Watson.

I think the will of Thomas Richardson 1744 is related to me. Do you know how I go about getting a copy? Were you at the Carlisle records Office?

George is difficult - I have now looked him up on the IGI as when his birth is likely to be and there seems to be one from Kirkoswald or he got married to someone at Kirkoswald. I think that is fairly near to Kirkland. But it does not give any details on the IGI.

Would be very grateful for the Richardson marriages if you have them.

Henry Richardson to Ann Martin 09/06/1686
Henry Richardson to Mary Pearson 01/06/1760.

Humphrey Richardson to Isabella Ogglethorp 02/02/1689. Death for Humphry dated March 3rd 1724.

Janet Richardson to John Brunskill 27/01/1639.

John Richardson to Mary Dent 08/11/1774
There was another seven John Ricahrdson marriages there.

Johnathan Richardson to Hannah Gowling 15/05/1744.

Margaret Richardson to Thomas Buckle 13/05/1724.

Mary Richardson there was 4 marriages.

Phyliss Richardson to Thomas Sewell dated 1674.

Robert Richardson to Bridget Hill 23/11/1645.

Sarah Richardson to Reverend Joseph Sander 29/12/1742.

Thomas Richardson from Blencarne to Jane Watson from Kirkland 14/11/1723.

William Richardson seven marriages.

These were all at Carlisle Record Office.

Thomas is definately mine and at a glance I think some of his relatives are there too, I will have to check more thoroughly.

Thomas is stated as being from Blencarne but it is nearer to Kirkland than I thought just the next village down the road.
