They are all there in 51 except Janet,maybe she had married by then.
I see you are researching the name Easton,are they from Dysart or Kickcaldy?

Oh great. Thought Janet could be married (eldest).

All my Fife connections are a new discovery!!Just getting to learn about the relevant placenames. My Eastons should be Dysart as my Jessie Easton born abt 1845 listed on 1871 census as born there. She was a tailoress.

Her father was James Easton, a handloom linen weaver and her mother, Catherine Nixon.

The only clue I have for them is a marriage of that name in Abbotshall - a neighbouring parish I gather so maybe them.

How common a name was Easton there at the time?

If you have any info I'd be delighted.

I can't see your Eastons in Dysart in 51-there are 6 listed and 3 Eassons.I have both of these names in my tree:)
My Eastons are-
James,son of James Easton and Margaret Bogie.James jnr married Ann Walker in Dysart in 1884 then came to England.
I will have a look at the Eastons tonight and will PM you if I find some more info for you.
