Hi, here is John Frodsham in 1851  in Bunbury. He is living in Higher Town, Bunbury, he is down as being 85, born Bunbury and is a shoemaker, he is living with an Elizabeth Frodsham just down as being a relative born in Peckforton, Cheshire.

Hope this helps anyway

Hi also here is Hannah with her children in Spragg Street, Congleton in 1861. Hannah born 1811 in Rushton, Staffordshire (could be Rushton Spencer), Head, Housekeeper, Henry, son, born 1835 in Buglawton, Millman Silk, Maryann, born 1839 in Buglawton, Silkworker?, Thomas, son, born 1841 in Buglawton, Silk Spinner, Eliza, daughter, born 1843 in Buglawton, Silkwinder. Elizabeth, daughter, born 1845 in Buglawton, Silkwinder, William, son, born 1847 in Buglawton, Silkworker?, Mary Ellen, granddaughter, 8 months born Congleton, Phoebe Robinson, lodger, born 1842 in Summerfield, Cheshire, Silkwinder.

Plus an interesting bit, there is a Jonathan Frodsham born 1811 in Bunbury, shoemaker who is living as a patient at an asylum in Upton by Chester!

Hope this helps

Thanks, Anna.  I wonder if John Frodsham born in 1851  in Bunbury is Jonathan's father.  I knew most of the other info you gave me and knew about Jonathan being in the asylum.  Dont know what for though.   I think Im going to have to investigate further.  I didnt know about the lodger,  Phoebe Robinson.  I wonder who she was and why she was there.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Sharon, have just googled the asylum and it looks like the records might be held at Cheshire Records Office if you are interested.

Hi Sharon, Here are Hannah and the children in 1851 in Buglawton under the surname of Frodsam on the IGI. They are still living in Spragg Street, there is Hannah Frodsham down as being born 1801 on this one in Rushton who is receiving Parish Relief, the children are then listed by initial, H Frodsham, 16, son, silk piecer, J Frodsham, 14,son, silk piecer, M Frodsham, daughter, 12, silk piecer, T Frodsham?, down as F, 10, son, silk piecer and E Frodsham, 8, scholar, daughter. All children are down as being born in Buglawton. No sign of Jonathan but with Hannah receiving parish relief...

Hope this helps
