Peter I am fairly new to researching my family tree.  Living in inland Australia doesn't help much either :(

I am looking for a marriage between William Peersand Ellen? prior to 1785.

I don't have any more info on William and Ellen.  Hope this is enough.

Thank you.

Hi

I have had a quick look through the indexes but nothing jumps out at me, so many ways of spelling Peers, can you narrow the search down a bit by telling us where son John  and his parents were born.

regards

Peter I don't know where John was born but I understand  that his parents lived in Cheshire prior to their move to Liverpool to Brownlow Street.  Peers is the correct spelling. Don't pursue if this isn't enough information.

Cheers

Hi

This could be the record your looking for, Liverpool was a favourite place for Birkenhead/Wirral folk to marry. These are the only details sorry no parents mentioned.

William Perce and Ellen Walker
11 SEP 1784 St Paul c of e, Liverpool

Not quite sure how to prove this is your man or not.

Many thanks for that Peter.

I realise what a difficult task it would be to find their marriage  from the scanty information I gave you. I found both William's and Ellen's names under the Cheshire Wills so may have to pursue that avenue to confirm if  the correct Ellen was nee Walker.

Perhaps another piece of the jigsaw.

Cheers
