Me and you both
I should know better, I bought a mag because it had a free disc on HeRtfordshire, only to load it and realise it was HeRefordshire
Thank you Liz, they was in Hertfordshire on the 1841 census, I have a couple of copies of the family from 1841. Thank you for looking, it is a mystery, I wil have to look for the parish records.

Thank you Charles
Hopefully there will be a record off his birth in the church.

I know how frustrating it can be not to find someone. I have been looking for my Great Grandmother's death for about a year now. I went through the index several times on 1837on line for a 20 year period but she was just not there.
I knew that she must be, so I had one last look and guess what??? I found her. Her middle initial had been wrong on the index. I'd probably loked at it a thousand times and dismissed it. Anyway, I took a chance and ordered the certificate and it was the right one.
