1851 Census York - St. Maurice - COMPLETED Thank you
« on: Saturday 04 March 06 17:15 GMT (UK) »
Could anyone help with my Bowman family in York in 1851 - children all baptised at St. Maurice so probably that parish:

William Bowman 34 Whitesmith b. York
Rachel Wife 32 b. Thirsk
Jane 11
Martha 6
Rachel 2

Would also love to find William's parents Thomas Bowman and Jane but have very little to go on with them.  They are likely to by in their 60s and as William was also baptised at St. Maurice may well be living in the same area.

As always, any help much appreciated.

Emma,

Thanks for your help.  Certainly looks promising as William and Rachel were living at Barker Hill in 1861.

Thanks again  ;)
