1851 Kent Lookup please
« on: Saturday 02 October 04 02:09 BST (UK) »
Hello All

I am not sure if anyone is able to help me here. This is a indeed long shot.

I am trying to find my James Shipwash Hall who  came out Australia in 1852 and therefore would be in the 1851 Kent Census
Now I have his marriage and death certificates and they both state that he was born in Kent. I have found a few clues that lead me to Hothfield in Kent like a few burial records at Hothfield that I think are his parents and family, though I have not confirmed any of these details as yet.
Here is some info that I know about him-
-He was born in Kent in 1822 I have a baptismal entry from the Canterbury Cathderal  25 Aug 1822
-Parents were Thomas Hall and Caroline Shipwash
-Came from a family of six sons
-May have married to his first wife in England and they came out together, wife's name Mary Holmes
-Named his property in Victoria after Hothfield.

I am not sure about how much detail I needed to provide for a lookup in this census so please excuse a novice for I am new to looking at census's.

I would appreciate any ideas and help anyone can provide me with.

Thanks
Regards
