I was looking through the Old Parish Records for births in Paisley and found several years worth of entries all in the same hand which looked as though it was done by typewriter but with a fancy script. Since it was from a bound folio and was around 1827 it had to be handwriting.
I had to call my wife over and the librarian to confirm I wasn't seeing things.
Next page was back to a spidery scrawl so I gave up and went home.!

That reminds me when electronic typewriters first existed about 20 years ago, I had a little portable Brother one that had a choice of 6 different scripts, some really fancy.  I believe you could also get different 'golf balls' for the electric typewriters so it might have been possible.
