« on: Monday 06 March 06 19:53 GMT (UK) »
In 1901 Albert Newell lived in Tadlow Cambridgeshire.

Can anyone see him and his family in the 1901 census?

Thanks, I have now found Mary Newell and her husband William in the 1881 census, still in Tadlow. William died 1890, Freebmd. I also found William Newell married Mary Brocket in 1867. Can you see them in 1871?

Hi Bob
I have found them on the 1871 but I think the enumerator got a bit muddled with the relationships, so I will put down firstly what the actual image says and then tell you what I think the rea#lationships should be, okay?
1871 census
RG10 Piece 1577 Folio 82 Page 6
Tadlow, Cambs
NEWELL
John Head Marr 73 Pauper b Wrestlingworth, Beds
Sarah Wife  Marr 75 Pauper b St Neots, Hunts
William Grandson Marr 27 Labourer b Tadlow
Mary Daur in Law Marr 24 Labs Wife b Morden, Cambs
Fanny Grandaur Unm 22 Labs Daur b Wrestlingworth, Beds

So I think all the relationships are correct except MARY who should be listed as Grandaur in Law as she seems to be Williams Wife. Is that right?
I'll see if I can find William on the 1861 if you like

I agree about Mary. It would be good to see the 1861 census

Hi Bob
Found them on the 1861 and 1851 and seems I was wrong, the 1871 should read WILLIAM NEWELL 'SON' 27
I thought the grandson was correct because of Sarah's age, but the 1851 and 1861 confirm that William is the son of JOHN and SARAH
1861 Census
