Improving a photo

Hi Poli,
If you can scan it again at a higher resolution, it might be possible to get an improved picture...there seems to be some interference or something on the current scan, there are lines across it which look to be some artefact from the scanning process.  See if you can get your daughter to scan at 600dpi, and then resize the picture until it's under 500kB.  Then post it, and we can have a look!

Hi PrueM.
My daughter rescanned my tin lady to your specs but in actual fact it looked just the same as the large photo i posted at the beginning of these posts. 
It doesn't look as if much more can be done for the old dear but thanks for offering.
Tin lady was born c1830/40  [i think!!!]
