1851 Census - Robert Gibson - COMPLETED WITH MANY THANKS TO IRIA

Looking for Robert Gibson born 1835 in Ottringham.  On 1841 census living at home with Father Robert and mother Hannah.  Not at home on 1851 census but appears again on 1861 census.  Could someone do a search for him on 1851 census.  He would be 15.  His occupation on 1861 census is cordwainer.

Any help in locating him appreciated.

He is living with a William Grindall and Family (William is a Cordwiner)

Many thanks for that.  As his father was a cordwainer I thought he might have learnt the ropes at home but looks like they had to serve a proper apprenticeship.

Not heard of Waxholme and it's not in my road atlas.  Will have to do some sleuthing to find out where it is.

I think the district should be Patrington - that's a stone's throw from Ottringham where he was born so it looks like he stayed in the area.
