1861/1871 Censuses - William Gibson - COMPLETED WITH MANY THANKS TO IRIA

Looking for William Gibson on 1861 and 1871 censuses.  On 1851 he is at home in Ottringham aged 5.  He is not at home on 1861 and 1871.  I think I have found him on 1881 -William Gibson age 36 born Offingham (I can't find Offingham in my road atlas but it could easily have been mistranscribed from Ottringham).  On 1881 this William is married to Sarah who is 32 and born in Hull.  The family is living in Hull and William is a carpenter.  Their eldest child is 7 so would not appear on 1871 census.

I realise I am maybe clutching at straws (there very well may be a place called Offingham) but if someone could have a go at tracing William it would be appreciated.

Excellent!!  It definitely looks like the William I have found on 1881 married to Sarah is mine..... still alive and well!!

Many many thanks for your information.  At least I know he didn't die as a youngster which is what it looked like when he wasn't at home on relevant censuses.
