McGilvray - where now?
« on: Tuesday 07 March 06 12:04 GMT (UK) »
I confirmed the names of Elizabeth McGillvray's parents from the certificate of her next marriage - they're the same as those on her death cert.
I can't find a marriage of Donald Mcgillvray (any spelling) to Elizabeth McPherson, nor a 1827 birth of Elizabeth McGilvray to parents of that name in any county.

The 1861 greenock census shows Elizabeth's niece present - Catherine McGilvray.  the 1851 census show her parents as John and Janet.  If C is really E's niece, I've been unable to find an E and a John born to the same parents.

Any thoughts?
