Mary Ann Grimley

Mary Ann Grimley born c1826 Gonalston, nr Newark Notts father Thomas.
She had two sisters Jane and Elizabeth and at least one brother George.

She married William Upton of Radcliffe on Trent. Any information on her father or mother as nothing known except her father was a gardener.

Is Winkburn a place name? Chilfren are right age. Do you know what MS N means?

Yes Winkburn is a small village in Nottinghamshire, about 8 miles from Gonalston. They were the only Grimleys I could see in the area.

MS and N are standard abbreciations on the 1841 census

MS = male servant
N = No (not born in county)
Y - Yes (born in county)
