Help needed to find the will of James Harrison CLARKE of Pulrose Farm
« on: Wednesday 08 March 06 21:23 GMT (UK) »
Can someone help me find out if James Harrison CLARKE left a will?  James was living at Pulrose, Braddan, Isle of Man in 1901.  He was buried at Kirk Braddan 15 May 1916

This is the reference from Brian Lawson's Wills index (www.lawsons.ca):

CLARKE, James Harrison  1916  Dgs    150  0106587

I think that means that you can find it on LDS film number 0106587 and it should be entry number 150 on the film.  See http://www3.telus.net/lawson/wills/_will_index.html for full explanation of the index elements.

Cheers,
Ruth

Hi Ruth,

The web site you recommended has proved very useful.  Not only have I found that James Harrison CLARKE left a will but other members of the family did too.

There are also transcription from parish registers on the web site and these can be a very welcome guide to where to look when trying to trace those elusive ancestors.

So thank you very much for your help Ruth it is much appreciated.
