Looking for information on John Mannix,possibly from Castleisland,born circa 1803.John would have married Anne(unknown) circa 1824/27.He would have worked as a tallow chandler,that is to say a candle maker.The couple would have had at least one child a son named Martin who was a boot and shoemaker.
It is possible that the family moved to Mayo in the 1850s due to some problem with the British Army.
Any information no matter how slight will be most gratefully received.
