Posting my interests: I have a possible connection with a Jane SHIMIN/SHIMMIN  in Patrick, Isle of Man, who was married to Robert JONES.  Jane is the mother of a Charlotte JONES who might have been the wife of my ancestor Richard WHITFORD.   Charlotte was christened on 3rd June 1792, and married Richard on 6 June 1812 at the
Parish Church of Kirk-Braddan.

I have a Jane Shimmin/Kissack married to Robert Jones Patrick IOM.  known children Edward b. 1790, Robert b.1795.
Robert (b. 1795) married Elizabeth Corkill 18 Dec 1832 Bradden IOM.
Their children Robert c. 1833, Edward c.1835, Charlotte c.1838.
