Found this and thought you would all like to read  :)

http://www.rootschat.com/links/06s/

"Two moving farewell notes have been found hidden in a jewellery case bought at a car boot sale 15 years ago."

Can you identify the persons involved?

I got quite a few shivers down my spine as i read the message in the link Graceland.

The poor woman - sounds like she was ill and knew she was dying. I hope the letters were seen by her family before she passed though it looks like they never got them if they were so well hidden.

I hope someone does come forward for them

Carol.

Can we move this to another board so Rootschatter's can go digging and maybe help to put closure on this sad story.
We seem to be good at lost and found.

This is truly so sad... :(  :'(

It would be lovely if Rootschat could find some of the family referred to in the notes.  The poor woman.  She sounds to have been in such a desolate place.  I hate to think of what may have befallen her.

How very sad.   It almost makes you not want to know what happened because you already know it will be upsetting!

I've only just seen this post G.  How sad, I'm just off to bed as it's very late for me, and I think that letter is going to keep me awake wondering what happened to Sarah and her family.  :'(
