I have connections to Dale family of Audlem- William Dale farmer and Robert Dale b1865? -farm labourer- m Mary Morrall and had 13 children of which 9 survived- Robert died of exhaustion at age 37 - I'm not suprised considering!John Henry Dale b1888 was one of the 9- my great grandad. He married Mary Ellen Lawley. They had 2 children - my Uncle Ted b 1920 and Grandad Henry Lawley Dale b 1912.  Do you think that your dales are connected to mine?

My G Grandmother was Mary Ellen Dale b 1891, she would of been sister to your G Granddad John Henry Dale.
She went on to marry Arther Bailey they had 3 children
Violet b 1915 my nan
Arther b 1916
Philis   b   1924
I have only just started the dale side of the family, my Gran violet is no longer living, and my mother cannot remember her gran mary ellen as she was unwell in hospital for a number of years before she died, she remembers going to G Granny dales {as she called her} 90th birthday party but that is all she knows.
Would be grateful for any information you may have.
