I'm just looking at the original of the 1871 for George Obey....  Can you work out what it says on the far right under the deaf/dumb etc column?  I can't read it.

Any idea how I can find out who Mr Sams the butcher, wife of Mary from Yeovil was??!!!

Also i can't find the Walkers in the 1871, Emma.....  am I typing in the wrong piece, folio page etc?

Just looking at the post about Mary Sams visiting the Boxall family in Brighton in 1851.... Well I was thinking maybe they are of some relation as her daugther Elizabeth was born in Brighton....? hmmmmmm......  Just think out loud!

Think I've found William Walker and Elizabeth Sams marriage at St Nicholas,  Brighton on Dec 24th 1848.   Elizabeth's father was James Sams.

Sams....Samson  I'm confused...did they lose the 'on' somewhere?!

Oh no I've un-confused my self...that Elizabeth is the daughter of Wm Walker not the Wife who was nee Sams....
