I right clicked and it says that it is set at 375 KB(385,588 bytes)
Size on disk 376KB (385,024 bytes)

which means absolutely nothing to me.... and there is no button to change it 

On the MGI photosuite is has: (this is on the Butcher's shop photo)

Actual size is 488x480 pixels (found them at last)
Target window side of 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768

Change image size 320x200, 640x480, 800x600, 1024x768
Current size 2520x2476 pixels
Width 2520 Height 2476

Hope this all means something to you 

If you are happy with what you've got, then I'm happy too 

I'll have a go at the other photo's which are extremely faded, so 'any' improvement on those would be a bonus.

The size is under 500kb so it is small enough to post. You are doing great (dont get hung up on the 500 kb as if it the scan is too big the site wont let you post it - then you will have to re size it using adobe as you usually do)

I am just blown away.  If you could see the originals, they are so tiny the two ladies 3 1/2 inch x 4 inch and the one with the three children on is only 3 x 4 inches.

Wait til Pat sees these she wont believe it.  It's her 70th Birthday next week and these will make a lovely present for her.  I shall buy some lovely frames for them to set them off.

No bother - what I would like (with your permission) is to play around with them properly. That was just a wee half an hour to show you that all this hassle would be worth it (nothing like an incentive )

Also this is just my intrepations of the pictures - you might have your own idea for colours on the pictures (darker, brighter, green instead of blue etc) so let me know what you want.

I know that there will be loads of versions on here so make sure that you wait and see what everyone else can do because as I have said I am just learning this myself and this board has some real experts in the art of colouring (they know who they are!!!!)

Also they were ovbiously taken at the same time (backdrop of the studio) so I would like to colour them so they match as a set - I think they will look good once done properly.

This one of the children isnt as good as the others as the original is more blurry than the others
