1st Marriage of John Crompton

I am trying to find the first marriage of John Crompton who was born in 1857.  At the age of 47 he married for the second time after being widdowed.  John had two sons Walter & John by his first wife.  The family lived in the Pilkington area of Bury.

Hello again Nicky, Thank you for helping me.  Here is as much information a I have got on John Crompton. 

From his 2nd marriage certificate 1904 -: 

John Crompton 47 widower residence Unsworth. Father Wright Crompton.  I think it possible that his Mother's name was Ann. 

John had two sons Walter & John both young when Mother died.  Possibly the family lived at Unsworth near Bury

Here is the 1881 census for John, I think maybe it will be easiest to work out census going forward and then hopefully his wife may appear.

Hi Nicky,  I have a death of Ernest Crompton on M Is for Unsworth Methodist Church 1898 John & Pricilla named as Parents.  I am not sure of the ages of the two sons Walter & John but know they both served in the 1st WW (they were step brothers to my Mother-in-law). John got killed in France aged about 20.

Nicky you have been busy on my behalf thank you.  This looks like I have found quite a few of the Cromptons (looked for ages for Walter & John's births).  Now I think I can safetly send for the certificates.  The supprise of another brother although I had copied the death from MI's just in case it was the same family.
