Birmingham City Directory 1945 - 1950

Would anyone out there have a Birmingham Directory between 1945 & 1950.

I am looking for my grandfather & family who was an office caretaker at 57 Colmore Row and he gave this address as his residence.

He died in August of 1949 age 69 years and what I would like to know are the names and ages of the people who lived with him.  This probably being a second family as his first wife had passed away years before.

His name was Norman Ross.

Any help would be greatly appreciated .

Sounds like you need Kelly's directory.These are held at B'ham Central Library on the 6th. floor:

Suggest you contact them and ask them to look for you.You might also consider B'ham Chamber of Commerce.

Thanks, Jim, for the website as I am in Canada I will have to do it that way - don't see visiting Birmingham any time soon.

Just read your note again and I doubt if you will get the other family members.You will also need the Electoral Register to give those at that address who were elligable to vote.They are also at the library.
