Hi Cass

You can try searching on more than one term at a time.

If you know that your family lived in, eg Andoversford, you could try

Search: +Andoversford +Lane

If you know the first name of one of the family, try putting it in inverted commas

Search: +"John Lane" +Andoversford

The + ensures you only get records which have that search term.

Apologies if I am teaching you to suck eggs!  We did have a thread on this subject recently: I have been trying to search on the surname BOX and get everyone's PO Box Number, so you have my sympathies!!

Anyone with any other ideas?

kind regards, Arranroots  ;)
