I AM TRYING TO FIND OUT ABOUT 'BOB 'ROBERT COLLINGS WHO SEVERED IN THE CONGLETON POLICE FROM 1908 TO 1913 WHEN HE JOINED THE CHESHIRE POLICE ,BIRKENHEAD DIVERSION. I AM FIND IT DIFFICULT TO FIND ANY INFO. ABOUT THE CONGLETON FORCE.ANY SUGGESTIONS.

I cant help you at all,but i am sure i have seen somewhere on Rootschat a link to obtaining police service records.It might be in the armed forces.Maybe someone out there can remember. I had a look for some info as well got the same results as you. Best ask a Policeman ;D

You could always contact Cheshire Police HQ in Winsford, I know that they have a a museum based at Warrington Police station and they use to have alot of historical items based at their training centre in Crewe, which has now closed, they could have been moved to their new HQ in Winsford.

 It seems just as I felt i was banging my head against a brick wall in trying to find out about my g.grandfather :bob collings.
i now find a few avenues to explore ,thanks to peolpe like your self and many others .
