Barnes - Ticehurst Hollington

Trying to locate my Great- Great - Great - Grandparents

Here is info I have on my Great-Great Grandfather John Barnes born in England (unknown) in 1831 son of Thomas Barnes, a miller and Jamime Oliver residents of Hollington,East Sussex, England.

Great - Great Grandmother Eliza Ticehurst born in England, March 2,1829 daughter of Richard Ticehurst, a farmer and and Jane Starr, Both parents ( my Great Great Great Grandparents ) were from Hollington, married in the parish church of Hollington by the vicar henry J. Rush on January 5, 1852 ( which has to be the date my great great grandparents were married) I am trying to loctae info on Thomas Barnes and Jamime Oliver and Also Richard Ticehurst and Jane Starr.

Any help would be appreciated. My uncle has provided me with the info above, we are trying to trace back roots as far as we can.

Perhaps a lookup of the 1841 census would give you an approx age for John Barnes' mom, Jamime, this may be her?
Jemima Oliver, christening, 1 Jan, 1812, Ticehurst, Sussex, parents, James Oliver and Ruth, she'd be about 29 in 1841.
This may be the marriage of Jemima's parents.
James Oliver and Ruth Roberts, 12 Feb, 1797, Ticehurst, Sussex, and then possibly 11 siblings born to James Oliver and Ruth, starting with Mary, c.1798, ending, George, c.1817, Jemima, c.1812, being child #9, all christened, Ticehurst, Sussex (sent the other names and d.o.c via PM)
A marriage for Eliza's parents?
Richard Ticehurst and Jenny Starr, 6 Jan, 1819, Hollington, Sussex. matches the link given above.
As Ros said, don't take this as gospel, it's a quick run through of information located at familysearch.org and would of course need to be verified.
Someone on the Sussex boards may be able to do that 1841 census lookup for you.

Odd that one family may come from Ticehurst marrying into a family called Ticehurst........wonder if the name is connected to the Village?

  Wow thanks so far! My uncle who is getting up in age started this search about 10 years ago. I hope to be able track this info and find out if this works out. It would be wonderful to find out my gr. gr. gr. gr. grandparents!  Thanks again all who replied so far!
