Hi Gougy

It doesn't say Ireland does it? Although what the 2nd word is who knows  ::)

I've found the kids in 1861-now nearly all shoemakers-but where are the parents?  Young Edward is down as head of the household.

I think your 1851 image definitely has dad down as Edmund.

I'm sure others will start making suggestions soon  ;D ;D ;D

Everything seems to be N/K (not known) about this family.
Ages, place of birth etc...........suggests to me, thinking about it, perhaps the parents didn't speak very good English.

So Anna's suggestion of Islande de Corsie(Corsica) is probably a very good one  ;)

What awful writing he had. Someone has made an educated guess as to how old the kids were haven't they?

I'm finding that I'm agreeing with that "Island" and wondering about Capri as the place?.

Maria Louisa Le Franc was born in St Pancras in March 1844 ref Volume 1 page 313

The cert should give you both mum and dads names  ;D

Both the girls married in Dec 1861 and Edward the following year.
